Plant Lovers Fair 2018

Save the date now!

The annual Plant Lovers Fair is returning to

Kariong on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September. This year the Fair will be brimming with wonderful hard to find, rare and unusual plants not generally available in nurseries or garden centres. Indeed, the Plant Lovers Fair is the place to go to give your garden the WOW! factor or to find that one plant to showcase in your garden or courtyard or on your balcony.

Whether you are looking for fruit trees, succulents, perennials, natives, bamboos, camellias, roses, bulbs, herbs or deciduous trees and much more, you will find them here. Visit our website www.plantloversfair.com.au. If you are looking for something special for your garden or are finding it hard to find a particular plant that you've always wanted, the solution is not long away.

The Plant Lovers Fair is a regular event catering for keen gardeners, novices and collectors alike and it's the only place on the Central Coast where you can find such a vast array of unusual and rare plants.

Plant fairs are the big new trend for keen garden makers and the Central Coast’s very own fair is the gardeners’ friend – it’s close, it’s convenient and it’s a fun day out. No longer do you have to drive to the opposite side of the metropolitan area. Kariong is close to Sydney and it’s right here on the coast.

Costa Georgiadis, host of ABC’s Gardening Australia, has again agreed to be our ambassador. Costa will be strolling around the fair speaking with growers and punters alike. Come along and engage in conversation with this most endearing host. If it’s useful information you want, Costa’s your man. From talks in the main marquee to walking and talking with both exhibitors and attendees, Costa will excite us with his enthusiasm for plants and gardens. Bring the kids and grandkids!!

Our speakers program this year will feature our expert growers, all exhibitors at the fair, providing specific, detailed knowledge about the plants they grow and love. At the Workshop Demonstration Program, you will find out more about the unique plants on offer at the fair. And if some are completely new to you, this is the best way to get the dirt on how to grow them and how to best use them in your local landscape. Our growers are all expert growers of their chosen plants and there is no better way to find out their “trade secrets” to growing success.

The Plant Lovers Fair offers a tasty range of food and beverages from Turkish gozleme, to Vietnamese treats and traditional sandwiches, wraps and pies and a sausage sizzle from Kariong Scouts. You certainly won’t go hungry. AND, great coffee, of course!

Our plant minding area is ready to look after your plant treasures safely, leaving you free to browse, listen to a talk or have a cuppa. The willing scouts are there to assist you in carrying your purchases to your vehicle. Easy and simple!

Bookings to the fair are now open online. So, click onto https://www.plantloversfair.com.au and avoid the queues.

Plant Lovers Fair is a community event, run by volunteers and proudly sponsored by Seniors on the Coast.
